How to QA your data

Before running your NRT projections, we advise reviewing your data to look over the general patterns of your Nori project, switch dates and the correct and timely introduction of conservation practices into your operation. A cell by cell review is not necessary. Below are some common issues.

Things to Review and Common Errors

  • Red cells… usually mean something is missing, like a GGIT classification in the Inputs tab. Double check the inputs tab. Red corner in a cell… If you hover over the cell, an error message will appear. If the message is warning that a date is wrong, but you are sure it is in he correct year, ignore the error.

  • Blue cells… This is not a problem, it just highlights that you changed our default classification to a different one that best suits your operation.

  • Check that all of your application and tillage dates are in chronological order.

  • Are your boundaries correct?

  • Is a fall application of tillage, fertilizer or manure in the correct year?

  • Are your rates reasonable for fertilizer and manure?

  • Is your agronomic switch year correct?

  • Are the historical rotations logical?

  • Are your manure rates entered correctly? If manure rate was entered as a wet weight, did you provide the % water content?
