Selling Nori Regenerative Tonnes
Great, I have verified my project! How do I get paid?
Once your Nori Regenerative Tonnes (RTs) are verified, you will consign them to Nori to sell them on your behalf. RTs are sold for at least $20 on the Nori marketplace. Nori may sell your RTs for more than the current price, but never lower. RTs will be listed in a round-robin queue. The signer of the RT Agreement is often, but does not have to be, the Supplier of the carbon credit.
What do I receive from Nori? What is an RT?
In the Nori Program, after signing the Regenerative Tonne agreement, the supplier is issued Regenerative Tonne(s) which is/are a consumable commodity that can only be sold once.
Who buys Nori RTs?
Anyone, either individuals or organizations, can purchase your Regenerative Tonnes at the Nori website.
What price do my RTs sell for?
The current Nori Regenerative Tonne price is $20.
When can I sell my RTs?
RTs are sold in a round robin queue after (1) verification of your project is complete, (2) the Regenerative Tonne Agreement is signed and (3) RTs are issued to the supplier.
Turn around time from verification to payment? When do I get paid?
RTs are listed after verification is complete, but selling RTs depends on the market demand and place in the queue. The supplier is paid in cash as the RTs sell.
How do I get paid?
Suppliers are paid through Wire, ACH, or check as the RTs sell.
What does retiring RTs mean?
Retiring an RT takes it off the market, preventing the carbon removal credit from being claimed more than once. This is important for buyers of RTs, as each is automatically retired when purchased and can only be claimed for the time associated with the retirement of the RT when reporting on carbon reductions in environmental and sustainability reports. However, a Primary Contact can also choose to retire their own unsold RTs. If an RT is retired unsold, the Primary Contact has the option to sell the underlying carbon removal claim in a different ecosystem service marketplace. Nori will collect a transaction fee whenever an RT is retired whether sold or unsold.
