Assignment of Authority Overview

The Primary Contact is the individual signing the NRT agreement with Nori. If the Primary Contact has a project that includes rented or leased lands, they must have legal authority to participate in the Nori marketplace. This is generically known as an assignment of authority and its contents are driven by state law requirements. The assignment of authority provides the lessee Primary Contact the right to participate in the Nori marketplace from the landowner and is meant to prevent fraudulent claims. In addition to any requirements of state law, the assignment must contain the following terms:

  1. Provides the Primary Contact the authority to enroll the project for 10 years.
  2. Allows the Primary Contact to sign the NRT agreement with Nori and control the disposition of NRT’s issued by Nori.
  3. The parcels of property covered by the Assignment of Authority.
